Board of Supervisors

Frederick County is governed by an elected Board of Supervisors composed of seven members, one from each magisterial district:
  • Back Creek - Gary Lofton
  • Gainesboro - Bill Ewing (interim)
  • Opequon - Robert Wells
  • Red Bud - Blaine Dunn
  • Shawnee - Gene Fisher
  • Stonewall - Judith McCann-Slaughter
  • Chairman-at-Large - Charles DeHaven, Jr. 

Administration

The Office of the County Administrator is the highest level management office of the Frederick County government. The County Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of Frederick County and directs the day-to-day operations of all County departments and agencies which are under the direct control of the Board of Supervisors, pursuant to county ordinances and regulations.
